I Am Gui Minhai

Logotype for the exhibition I Am Gui Minhai at Taverna Brillo in Stockholm. 12 artists interpreted Gui Minhai to support the struggle for freedom of expression: Marianne Lindberg De Geer, Lars Arrhenius, Anneli Furmark, Martin Ander, Agnes Jakobsson, Ragnar Persson, Nina Hemmingsson, Joakim Pirinen, Carl Johan De Geer, Ester Eriksson, Thomas Olsson and Gunnar Lundkvist.

For almost five years, the Swedish publisher Gui Minhai has been imprisoned in China. The Chinese state has given a number of reasons for the deprivation of liberty, but most indicate that it is about his regime-critical publishing activities and writing.

The exhibition ran between 1–17 October 2020.
